After more than two decades behind the camera, it’s time for a fresh chapter. Over the years, my corporate event photography business has gone through several evolutions, but I’m really excited about this new iteration.

See, we’ve recently rebranded, and this marks the first time that we’re fully bringing together both sides of what we do, sports and event photography, under one unified message.

Previously, we had Rivas Media for the event photography side of the business, and Kyle Rivas for sports. With the rebrand, we’re now officially Kyle Rivas Media, with everything under this one name.

I’d always looked at these two sides of the business as being pretty different and separate from one another, but through the work of this rebrand, it became clear that there are actually some very clear common threads that tie our message together. So in this post, I’m sharing what those values are, and what you can expect from the new Kyle Rivas Media brand now and into the future.

The Values Behind Our Corporate Event Photography Business in Kansas City

We’re Driven by Your Marketing Goals

When it comes to photographing your event, whether it’s a black tie gala or a sports game, my role isn’t just about taking great photos. I’m there to create visuals that serve a purpose in growing your organization. My role is to help you fill the visual gaps in your storytelling, so you can use your images to do things like promote next year’s event or game, gain new audience members or sponsors, tell your story on your website or social media, and more.

Every event I photograph, I come armed with a plan for how you’ll actually use your images, so the photos I take are fully aligned with your marketing plans.

We Thrive in Fast-Paced Environments

Events of all kinds–sports, corporate, or educational– move fast. And that’s the kind of environment where I do my best work.

They’re also unpredictable, but in the best possible way. I have no control over the lighting, the surroundings, or even the people I’m photographing. I don’t get to pose people or choose the scene. And that’s where I thrive. My job is to adapt quickly, create something beautiful in the moment, and keep everyone comfortable while doing so.

Our Brand Is Built on Trust, Efficiency, and Reliability

These values have always been important to me, but they’re especially important as I look to the future of Kyle Rivas Media and our growth. I often shoot events that run multiple days or require travel, and events where there’s a lot more going on behind the scenes than just shooting.

So I build in redundancies. I travel with backup gear. I communicate clearly with you and your team so nothing gets missed. And then, when your event is over, I deliver your photos fast.

These things are all just as critical as creativity.

Kansas City Event Photographer

Kansas City is where I’ve built my business, and it’s still home base after more than 20 years of shooting here. I’ve covered thousands of events across KC and beyond. I say this not to brag, but to highlight the countless relationships and deep roots I’ve grown here. Clients choose to work with me again and again because of the relationships I build and the results I deliver.

Whether we’re partnering on a nonprofit gala, a brand launch, or a sports tournament, I bring decades of experience and a collaborative, problem-solving mindset to every shoot. I love that my clients see me as a partner in building their visual brand, not just a photographer.

I’m proud of the work I’ve done. And I’m even more excited about what’s ahead.

If we haven’t worked together yet, let’s chat. And if we have—I’ll see you at the next event.
